Yoga…day 6 of 9

Boy, am I sore.  I have gone to Yoga at the Healthridge Fitness center 6 times in the last 9 days. Intense and my body is telling me so. I’ve experienced a few different styles of yoga as well as different teaching styles. One major thing that I have learned is that breathing is a huge part of the experience. Your breathing can help increase the stretch and if you really let yourself “relax” into a pose your body can handle a lot more than you think it can.

The best part of this new “going to yoga as much as possible” is how much better I feel after I’ve gone to a class and really tried to experience it. In the end your body is so relaxed, yet you feel as if you’ve had a great workout. It is also amazing to realize how much your own body weight can be used to strengthen itself.

I must thank my beautiful wife Veronica for turning me on to what a great part of my day yoga can be.

My very favorite part of yoga is that it is yet another thing Veronica and I can do together.
